70th Anniversary Thanksgiving Day in Pictures
On Saturday, January 20, 2024, St. Dominic Catholic Church celebrated 70 years of spreading the Gospel.
The chief celebrant was His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, DD, Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos. He was supported by Rev. Fr. Charles Onwordi, OP. Pastor of St. Dominic Parish, as well as three other past pastors of the parish.
It was a colourful and eventful day with the Church resplendent in flowers. prints and new decor, gaily dressed children spreading flowers and confetti and the canopies in the courtyard in the vibrant labels of the Church organisations and societies. Cultural troupes also had a showy day, with drums, flutes and the timbre of exotic African musical instruments as well as energetic dances and dance steps.
